Pittsburgh Mills S.R. 0028 Development

The Mills Limited Partnership plans to develop a 2.1 million square foot retail development along S.R. 0028 in Frazer Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Trans Associates was retained for the initial traffic study, and subsequent design work. The purpose of the design services is for the preparation of plans for obtaining a highway occupancy permit (HOP), traffic signal permits and other approvals from PennDOT.

Trans Associates services for this project included:

Field survey, condition diagrams for traffic signals and base mapping for public improvements.
Preliminary plans including identifications of roadway modifications, pavement analysis, utilities, supervising geotechnical/structural sub-consultant, TS&L Submission, stormwater, and preliminary signal design of both on and off-site locations.
Final design services including final field survey, public meetings, utility coordination, right-of-way coordination and plan preparation, final PS&E, final geotechnical/bridge design report, final traffic signal plans, and construction consultation.
